Tired Eyes? 5 Easy Tips to Refresh Eye Strain and Feel Ready to Work Again

0 3272

It is believed that “eye strain” is a very common problem for modern people because our daily life is always with screens, whether during work or relaxation. When using eyes heavily, it can cause dry eyes, eye pain, and headaches inevitably.

Because REAL ASSET always cares for every resident under the Ever Care concept, today we gathered 5 tricks to help relieve tired eyes. These are very easy methods that can be done both at home and at the office. Try choosing the method that is most convenient and apply it in daily life.

The first trick is using a warm towel to place over the eyes. Since the eye area is quite sensitive, we recommend sterilizing the towel by boiling it and allowing the temperature to cool down first. Then place it over the eyes for around 5–10 minutes. The warmth helps relax the eyes, improves blood circulation, and the moist towel also helps add moisture around the eyes very well.

If your eyes hurt badly and you want to rest them immediately but do not have a towel nearby, the easiest way is using your palms to cover the eyes. We recommend washing your hands clean and drying them first. Then gently cover the eye area. You will feel relaxed from the warmth of your palms and your eyes can also rest in darkness.

Another method that helps without equipment is exercising the eye muscles. The method is very easy. Simply raise your index finger to eye level about 2–3 inches away from your face. Then look at your finger and alternate focus between the finger and the background repeatedly for a while. This can help reduce eye strain.

If you are someone who drinks tea already, do not throw away the tea bags. Try putting used tea bags in the refrigerator. Whenever you feel eye strain, take them out and place them over your eyes for around 5 minutes. The coolness from the tea bags can make you feel refreshed surprisingly.

This method may require a little investment because it involves using a Humidifier. Dry air can cause dry eyes, and dry eyes can easily lead to eye strain. Try adding moisture to the room using a Humidifier. Your eye strain symptoms may improve.
